Despite Tensions With Kate, the Duchess of Sussex Is Settling Into Life With Baby Archie

Their first wedding anniversary was on May 19. But Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were ‘too tired to do anything,’ says a source close to the Duchess, who gave birth to son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor only two weeks before. ‘They spent the night in watching TV. It was totally uneventful.’

Meghan wouldn’t have had it any other way. The American actress, 37, has described being a new mum as ‘magic’ – sleepless nights, nappy duty and all. And things keep getting better as the weeks roll by, despite the well-documented tensions with sister-in-law Kate Middleton. ‘She’s loving every minute of motherhood,’ shares the source, noting that Meghan has ‘even surprised herself by how naturally she’s taken to it. Archie is her whole world!’

Indeed, the little boy has Mum thoroughly wrapped around his finger. ‘Meghan’s favourite moments are seeing Archie smile,’ reveals the informant. ‘Harry says it’s due to gas, but Meghan doesn’t believe that. She finds it so exciting to see Archie becoming more aware of his surroundings all the time.’
