The singer was presented the 2014 Fashion Icon Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America at 26, and a place on Time magazine’s list of 2018’s most influential people. She’s got an impressive fragrance collection, and hugely popular fashion, lingerie and beauty lines – all of which have helped her amass an empire with a net worth of around $363 million!

Her star power can’t be underestimated. In March 2018, she wiped almost $1.4 billion off the value of Snapchat’s parent company Snap Inc, after criticising the company’s use of an advertisement that she claimed made light of domestic violence.

‘Rihanna certainly has the Midas touch and is a smart businesswoman, amassing quite an empire,’ says Harvey Nichols’ buy director Jo Osborne, who witnessed the pandemonium surrounding the launch of Fenty Beauty at the department store in 2017.

And it’s not just fans who are hooked on everything Rihanna. The RiRi effect is just as powerful on A-listers like Sandra Bullock, who recently worked with the singer on the blockbuster Ocean’s 8. ‘It’s a combination of being starstruck and being immediately put at ease,’ Sandy, 54, gushes. ‘She also has this warmth, and when she shines it on you, it makes you feel pretty damn amazing!’
