From Superhero to Superdad, Ryan’s Got It All Going on

Ryan Reynolds is in the best shape of his life. With filming for Deadpool 2 currently underway, he’s been spending his time in full action mode. But the moment Ryan’s face really lights up is when he’s asked to name his favourite cheat meal. ‘Patsy’s Pizza,’ he says. ‘There’s a Patsy’s Pizza up in Harlem that’s pretty much the best pizza… on the whole planet.’ He pauses, ‘Is it really unhealthy if it makes you so happy?’

It’s comes as no surprise that Ryan, 40, feels a little homesick for New York when he’s away – after all, he’s lived there with his wife Blake Lively, 30, for five years. The pair share a large farm-style home on the city’s outskirts in Bedford, along with their gorgeous daughters James, two, and 11-month-old Ines.

For the next few months, though, they’ll reside in Ryan’s hometown of  Vancouver, Canada – the star has rented a house for the family to stay in while he shoots Deadpool 2. ‘I’m here for the whole shoot,’ Blake confirms. ‘We don’t work at the same time. We’re here as a family, then we’ll pack up, and I’ll go do a couple of movies.’

This month, Ryan’s also busy promoting The Hitman’s Bodyguard – his new comedy thriller with Samuel L Jackson and Salma Hayek. But once shooting for Deadpool 2 ends, it will be his turn to take over domestic duties while Blake returns to work. Not that it’s a problem for the Hollywood heavyweight! ‘I love it,’ he says of being a dad to two little girls. ‘If I could have nine daughters, I would be thrilled. Really, like, I genuinely would be.’
