She’s No Longer a 'Pretty Thing on the Side'!

There was a time when Sienna Miller was thought of as little more than a beautiful prop for her male co-stars; when her love-life was worth more column space than her acting achievements and her fashion choices were dissected as tabloid fodder.

Fast-forward a decade or so, and Sienna, 37, is holding her own, not only as a single mama to daughter Marlowe, seven, but also as a leading lady alongside some of Hollywood’s most powerful male stars, and can now be seen playing Beth Ailes in the Stan miniseries The Loudest Voice.

‘With age comes wisdom and a sense of self that’s really relieving,’ Sienna shares. ‘I was a little bit at sea in my 20s. I had an amazing time, but I had no roots – well, nothing grounded.’

WHO’S THAT GIRL?

With big dreams of an acting career, and despite having studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, Sienna struggled to be seen as more than just an – extremely – pretty face. She didn’t struggle, however, to land modelling gigs, and with bills to pay, she took them.

ALONG CAME ALFIE

Sienna was cast in the 2004 movie Alfie about a womanising limo driver (Jude Law). To say that Sienna was even a supporting actress would be wildly overstating things. Hers was a bit role, playing one of Alfie’s eight female interests.
