ICE QUEEN - ‘MY DAUGHTERS ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT DANCING ON ICE'
Many Dancing On Ice contestants, past and present, have talked about the element of danger in the ITV competition. And when this year’s star Rachel Stevens fell on the ice and fractured her wrist during training, she got a real scare.

Rachel, 43, who is partnered with professional Brendyn Hatfield, was forced to pull out of her debut performance on medical advice, and will now dance for the first time this weekend.

“We’re working super, super hard so that, fingers crossed, we can get back on the ice really soon,” the former S Club 7 singer, who sprang to fame in the 90s, told us. “I can’t wait to get back on.”

And Rachel – who has daughters Amelie, 11, and Minnie, seven, with husband Alex Bourne – isn’t the only one who’s looking forward to her skating debut.

“This is the first time I’ve done anything that my children can come to and be a part of,” she smiles. “They watched the first episode and they’re so excited.”

Here, the down-to-earth star tells us how her injury is healing and why her daughters are already piling on the pressure for her win...

Hi Rachel. How are you feeling about being a week behind after your injury?
