Comedian Tom Allen is going to be a very busy man on our screens this festive season. As well as filling in for Noel Fielding on The Great British Bake Off Christmas special, Tom will also be gracing us with his hilarious presence in the There’s Something About Movies Christmas special, too.
Regular panellist Tom, 37, will be joined by the show’s host Alan Carr, rival team captains, Ab Fab legend Jennifer Saunders and Hollywood actor Michael Sheen, plus guest panellists, actor Rafe Spall and comics Guz Khan and Mo Gilligan.
Here, Tom tells us which sketch left Michael green, and why Jennifer is his showbiz hero…
Tell us about There’s Something About Movies…
It was the campest, most fun I’ve ever had. On one episode we had Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley and Alan Carr – it was probably the gayest thing I’ve ever done! And I’ve been on dates with men [laughs]. It was so ridiculously fun. For the Christmas special we have Rafe Spall, Mo Gilligan and Guz Khan. We wanted to celebrate films as people have been really reliant on them recently.
