After spending lockdown holed up in her north London home with the girls and her partner of three years, Tom Child, Tamzin is thrilled to finally be back on set, having landed a role in BBC One drama, Ridley Road.
But as delighted as she is to be back at work, Tamzin, 49, admits she misses her “tight family unit”, saying, “I am so proud of how we grew stronger and tighter as a foursome.” Although, like many parents, she admits, “I don’t miss the homeschooling, that’s for sure!”
In between teaching her girls, the actress managed to keep herself busy during lockdown by filming a comedy-drama for YouTube, which was written by her actor pal Julie Graham. Dun Breedin’ followed the lives of a group of women going through the menopause and was filmed in their homes. Luckily for Tamzin, partner Tom is a documentary maker so was more than happy to do all the camera work.
Tamzin, whose daughters are from her former marriage to Lucifer star Tom Ellis, has credited her new partner Tom, 29, with helping her to raise them, saying recently, “This kind, funny, patient, talented, loving, dynamic and hot man makes my daily juggle so much more doable and so much more fun.” And as for the age gap between them, the star is adamant that she’s stopped caring what people think.
