Charmaine has made mistakes – actress Odelle DeWet who plays her admits that. But she’s a good person. So, the last thing that she’s expecting is to be blackmailed by her ex and babydaddy Damon (William Harding). “Shame, she’s so excited about her debut on a TV show,” says Odelle. “Then she gets a phone call from Damon and can immediately hear that he’s been drinking.”
While Damon starts off being a nice guy and congratulating her on her big career break, Odelle says it turns ugly very quickly – and it leaves her properly shaken. “The things he says are horrible. They’re nasty. And he’s reminding her of things she did in the past that she’s not proud of.” Nonetheless, Charmaine pulls up her big girl panties; she won’t allow Damon to drag her down. But his pesky presence will definitely have an effect on her relationship with Willem (Dawid Minnaar).
PAST SINS
Charmaine hasn’t exactly had the best life, explains Odelle. “She’s just over 30 years old and she comes with battle scars. Damon is one of those scars.”
