Matt LeBlanc is best known as goofy Joey Tribiani in sitcom Friends (1994-2004) but he’s done loads of other work – and Man With A Plan (2016-2020) is one that he holds dear, playing the role of stay-athome dad Adam Burns. “I’m a father. I prefer long relationships rather than hopping from bed to bed. I like the quiet life. This show was just that – me being able to move away from Joey, who I love and always will, but finding more of me in a role,” says the 53-yearold. Being away from his real-life family was one of the reasons he actually quit hosting motoring show Top Gear (2002-now) in the UK. “I love seeing my daughter. I love being with my girlfriend. I love family and while this journey has ended, there will be more coming in the year ahead.”
A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
For the 13-episode fourth season, Matt, who is one of the show’s executive producers, wanted his character to go on a rollercoaster ride with his family. “The Burns group is your typical family. Husband, wife, kids. Nothing out of the ordinary from the outside.
