When the bosses at K-Mash FM give new radio host Gabisile (Baby Cele) bad feedback about her show, she goes into panic mode and has to do something dramatic to keep her job. “She’s told that her ratings are dropping dramatically,” says Baby. “This show means so much to Gabisile, it signifies a new chapter in her life, a new beginning, so it being threatened affects her a lot.” And she’ll do whatever it takes to come out on top.
SHAPE UP OR SHIP OUT
Like many people, Gabi isn’t just unfamiliar with social media, she’s uncomfy with it. But that’s something she needs to fix, explains Baby. “Social media is an integral business tool and while she likes to stay private, she’s got to expand her world. She’s not like youngsters who check their Instagram first thing in the morning. Even for myself as Baby, I ask my kids to help me with their simplest things and they’d mock me, but my focus is not on social media,” she adds.
