When the child, Ndivhuwo (Shudufhadzo Mathagwa), falls ill, Tshenolo finds out that he has a daughter and Ndivhuwo learns that her “sister” Mpho is actually her mother…
HOW THE STORY BEGAN
Mpho had a baby when she was in her teens but her parents kept it a secret. “When Mpho’s parents found out that she was pregnant, they hid her until she gave birth and then pretended that the child was the mothers’ to cover her shame,” says Azwi.
Mpho played along, as did her real sister Lindelani (Ronewa Mudau). But everything changes when Ndivhuwo gets sick.
THE CURE
When nothing rids Ndivhuwo of her night terrors, Lindelani – who is staying in Venda with Ndivhuwo – calls Tshenolo and spills the beans. “She tells him he has a daughter who is sick because she needs to be introduced to her parental ancestors,” says Thabo, whose character is shocked to find out that he has a full-grown daughter.
Mpho begs Tshenolo for forgiveness but he is too busy conniving a plan to lure his daughter to Johannesburg.
ALL IS REVEALED
Back in Venda, Ndivhuwo, who seems better, meets a man online. She decides to go to Johannesburg to meet him and asks her “sister” Mpho if she can visit.
