A long-standing feud between Tshireletso (Nay Maps) and his uncle Tenda (Nat Ramabulana) turns into flames when furious Tshireletso decides to kidnap Tenda’s wife Mpho (Azwi Rambuda) and baby Kenosi (a doll is used). “The war started when Tenda framed Tshireletso for murdering Tshireletso’s brother Hulisani (Burnett Gededger) last year,” says Nay, reminding viewers that Hulisani had a gambling and drinking problem and tried to hold Mpho for ransom. Instead, Tenda killed Hulisani. “Tshireletso’s motives for taking Mpho and baby Kenosi hostage are simple: Use them as leverage to get Tenda to confess to the police that he forced the only witness to his crime – Moipone (Mmabatho Mogomotsi) – to change her statement and frame Tshireletso for the murder,” says Nay.
