CHOOSING A MONITOR is a huge part of any PC setup. You could spend a fortune, but still, end up with something not fit for purpose. So a monitor that ticks a multitude of boxes at a decent price tag seems like a no-brainer. BenQ is a big name in the screen game, but it’s less known for its gaming monitors. Its Mobiuz lineup aims to change that and, certainly on paper, the EX2710R looks promising.
Curved monitors are something of an acquired taste, especially after the short-lived history of curved TVs. On smaller displays, a curve makes more sense as it will typically be used by just one person sitting directly in front of the screen, rather than the whole family jostling to position themselves on the sofa. The EX2710R features a 1000R 27-inch curved panel that has just the right amount of curvature to avoid awkward angles. In fact, 27-inches is a happy medium for a gaming monitor, though we are more accustomed to an ultrawide setup at this size.
This monitor has a sturdy two-piece stand to keep it upright and a vertical adjustment that allows it to swivel 15° and tilt 5° so you can get the perfect angle. If anything, we’d prefer the stand to be monochrome and to lose the red, but that’s just nitpicking.
