MSI ALREADY HAS A substantial range of tech and computing peripherals, ranging from monitors and keyboards to mice and even gaming chairs. The company has now extended its arsenal even further by entering the microphone market. The Immerse GV60 streaming mic aims to take on the likes of Elgato, HyperX, and Blue in this area. A standalone mic is an essential part of a streaming setup, but is the GV60 a clear winner for Twitch use?
MSI products are usually aimed at the budget to mid-range market but, from first impressions, the GV60 appears to be more premium than that. Weighing in at 2.42lbs, it’s a heavy microphone that feels extremely sturdy on a desk due to its thick rubberized base. The construction is an all-black matte aluminum design with touches of gunmetal gray.
Compared with some of MSI’s other products, many of which sport bold, eye-catching designs, the GV60 looks and feels like a premium device with no cheap plastics in sight. In fact, at first glance, it’s hard to tell that this is an MSI product, with only the presence of two subtle logos give that away.
