True happiness in life: Beaconsfield perfumer shares Firedance as latest addition to lovely niche range
YOU may well have come to know and love the fascinating work of Beaconsfield’s Ruth Mastenbroek without even realising it. For Ruth has been a top international perfumer for over 40 years – the invisible ‘nose’ behind scents for some of the world’s best known brands, including Jo Malone, Kenneth Turner and Jigsaw.
She also has four fragrances in her own name which are sold across the world in department stores and niche perfumery boutiques and the latest, Firedance, has just been launched exclusively in Fenwick in London before going nationwide.
Ruth, a former President of the British Society of Perfumers, set up her own brand seven years ago and it’s become something of a family concern. After growing up in a world of perfume, Ruth’s daughter, Claire, and son, Nic, have now joined the business to allow Ruth to spend even more of her time on creative development.
