It's Time To Put The Guns Down An Endless Debate On American Gun Control Law
We’re only Sixteenth weeks into 2018, and there have already been over two dozen school shootings in the USA. Support for stringent gun control laws is mounting in the United States of America. Nearly 7 in 10 adults now support of sterner gun laws which is the highest level of support in five years. Yet only half of Americans believe elected officials will strengthen them.
The United States of America has had more mass shootings than any other country. Between 1966 and 2018, around 300 public mass shooting has occurred across the world: 110 of these, or 36% of the total, took place in the USA. In the recent Parkland, Florida School shooting incident, at least 17 people have died after a 19-year-old ex-pupil opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. It’s the deadliest school shooting since 2012, when 26 people were killed in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Hundreds of thousands of students and supporters rallied in Washington DC in a “March for our Lives”, to call for gun safety measures.
The political aftermath of USA mass shootings has followed a similar script in recent years. Various presidents have expressed their anger and sorrow, declaring that none of their successors should have to comfort the victims of another massacre. Then little or no significant political change has happened.
A major factor for the stasis in Washington over gun control is the powerful National Rifle Association (NRA). NRA is one of the most powerful players in one of the most hotlydebated issues in the US - gun control.

Builders Can't Force Buyers To Go For Arbitration
It is a well settled law that arbitration agreements do not bar the jurisdiction of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (‘NCDRC’) and other consumer forums. The issue was, however, reconsidered at length by a Full Bench of the NCDRC, in Aftab Singh v Emaar MGF Land Limited &Anr [Consumer Case No 701 of 2015] in view of the amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 (‘the Amended Act’).
