The joy of eating seasonal fruits like Mangoes, Watermelon, Mulberry (Shehtoot), Black Plum (Jamun)! The joy of taking long showers, changing your wardrobe from winter jackets to light pastel cotton and of course, the joy of visiting your friends and family during the summer vacations! Summers can be sometimes harsh on your body, especially the skin, but thanks to the science of life
Ayurveda, every individual can take care of himself or herself in such extreme climatic changes. Here is an insight on how to keep your skin healthy this summer:
Hydrate to rejuvenate
Summer is a pitta season, the heat levels are much higher and so the body automatically craves for cooler food and environment. Keeping yourself hydrated is very important. Consumption of water and fruit juices is essential. Earthen pots keep the water cool and maintain high oxygen content. Very cold water from the refrigerator should be avoided. Fruit juices must be consumed immediately and should not be stored for a longer time.
