Perennials To Cut Back Now

THE various Helleborus niger plants growing around the garden have put on a tremendous show this spring.

They were protected by mulch through winter, and the new shoots came through strongly and produced several heads of stunning flowers.

I want to keep them flowering, and to be able to see the blooms, for as long as possible, so I have been removing the old leaves as they become tattered.
