ORNAMENTAL cabbages and kales have been around for many years but have remained just that – pretty, hardy brassicas to use in autumn and early winter bedding schemes.

The more compact types are good for planting in mixed containers and the taller ones to cut and arrange in water with flowers. The cut ones last very well, but the water can go pretty smelly in warm conditions if not changed regularly.
