Walter Rothwell Documentary and street photographer

Desert Island Dslr

How would you describe your photography?

Leaning towards the classic, no gimmicks.

Which photographers (living or dead) would you like to have round for dinner?

William Henry Fox Talbot, Edward Weston and William Eugene Smith. It may not be the most jovial evening – but once the conversation got started, I’m sure it would be fascinating.

Where’s your favourite place?

The Pyramids of Giza. I’ve been shooting a documentary there for many years, and it feels like home from home. Depending on the season and situation, it can be one of the most intense or serene places that I’ve ever experienced.

What gear can you not leave the house without?
