Can Women Have It All?

I remember standing on the terrace of my Dubai office and contemplating a decision I had made that day. The terrace was a place I always went to de-stress and think because of the beautiful, soothing view of the Arabian Sea it offered. I had become a mother to a baby boy a few months ago, and after much thought, I had put in my resignation. I knew that this decision could make or break my future.

I lived in the heart of Dubai in a sprawling apartment, my parents were living with me on a resident visa, I had an efficient nanny to look after my baby, a part-time cook, and a cleaner to do the household chores. I drove a snazzy car to work and I had a job with a fat pay check. When I was burning the midnight lamp to score a first class both in my graduation and masters, and working long hours in my first job and the jobs after, I never knew that within a decade I would earn what I was earning, travelling the world and living a lifestyle that I had never dreamed of.
