She is unafraid of uncharted territory because she believes that hard work paves the way to success. Looking for new experiences to surprise her at every corner, she banks on her past learning to power through her latest world—Bollywood. The doe-eyed model talks about adjusting to overnight fame, handling success, and more.
Your feelings on the Bollywood project you have landed and making your debut next year.
I can’t talk about the specifics, but yes, I am super excited about my Bollywood debut. I never planned to be an actress when I started modelling, but I have always loved everything about movies. Being an actress requires hard work and discipline; it’s a constant process to better oneself. Everyone told me that since I’m an outsider, it would be difficult to find my feet in the industry, but for me, Bollywood is where dreams come true. I worked on myself and I’m happy that I’m doing the project of my dreams, working with a production house, the films of which, I have grown up loving. From becoming Miss World to now landing a huge film, it’s a new, exciting chapter in my fairy tale.
What was Manushi Chhillar like before she won the Miss World crown?
