A graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, Amritha Ram is curating the much-talked-about looks of the legendary actor Kamal Haasan, who is hosting Bigg Boss Tamil. &quot;Working with Kamal sir is something beyond what words can express,&quot; says an ecstatic Amritha who is currently busy curating looks for the ongoing season of Bigg Boss Tamil 5. &quot;I was very nervous when I first met him, but I was confident enough in my work,&quot; she says. &quot;I knew what kind of look ! wanted for sir, and I explained it to him. I had asked him if there are any inhibitions, and he said not at all; he just wanted to be sure that the look worked on him,&quot; recalls the designer, who has been working with Ulaganayagan starting from the movie promotions of Vishwaroopam 2. Amritha is happy about her work and the response that she has been receiving both from the star as well as from the industry. &quot;I&#39;m fortunate to be continuously associated with Kamal sir, and that&#39;s his way of expressing his appreciation.&quot;When it comes to the challenges of working on a reality programme, Amritha believes they get bigger and better with each passing week since she has to come up with new designs and variants without repeating herself. Aside from Kamal Haasan, she has collaborated with Radhika Sarathkumar, another industry star, who selected the looks for Kodeeswari, a women&#39;s reality GK game show. &quot;We had a continuous shoot for Kodeeswari and had to come up with non-repetitive ideas and saris.&quot;Though she works with all fabrics, Amritha&#39;s personal choice is Indian textiles. &quot;The varied diversity of our country is captured in Indian fabrics: every state is a proud owner of a fabric that has its own weave and specialty,&quot; says the talented stylist, whose USP is working on these Indian fabrics to give them a western twist. &quot;We are happy with our decision to use a material that made a global political statement for India.&quot; She says, &quot;I take pride in fashion as a weapon for crossing boundaries and I wish to put this Indian fabric on the global stage.&quot;
