Angad Bedi On Career Highs, Life With Neha Dhupia And Daughter Mehr

You seem to be in a great phase of life both personally and professionally. Comment on that...

I pray it continues. It’s been quite a different ball game altogether since last year. Since the time Soorma released, people really appreciated my role there. It was an earthy film because the audience had seen me in films like Pink and Tiger Zinda Hai. It feels great to get appreciation from the industry for the work you do as that is what an actor always aspire.

How has life changed now being a parent?

Neha changed my luck. Sometimes you are looking for something and you put it out there in the universe that you need a change and it just happened in my case. And then we had Mehr. I feel it has just been a very happy home since and Mehr brings so much joy and laughter and that translates in your relationships with people professionally and personally. When I step out of the house to work, I just count my blessings. I have always believed, to maintain a good professional life, you have to be in a good space personally.

How do you juggle time between work and family?

That credit has to go to Neha. When we work, recently we did an ad together so we took Mehr along and kept her in the vanity. We are trying to keep our daughter aware that her parents are always around her. We don’t let her feel alone and take her everywhere we go.

Speaking of The Zoya Factor, how was it working with Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan in the film?
