MEHUL KUMAR - “The Achhe Din Of The Film Industry Should Come Back”
GLOBAL MOVIE MAGAZINE|January 2020
How do you look back in your career so far as you enter the 41st year of your chequered career in the film industry?
MEHUL KUMAR - “The Achhe Din Of The Film Industry Should Come Back”

It has been a wonderful experience for me as I had started as a journalist in a Gujarat weekly CHITRAPAT. Then I had a chance meeting with Tahir Husain, father of legendary star-actor Aamir Khan and I got my first chance to direct a Gujarati film JANAM JANAM NA SATHE. I didn’t have to look back. I have made 37 films so far, some of them Action films, few Patriotic films, few Family dramas, Comedy films and Historical Films too in Hindi and Gujarati with all big stars like Ashok Kumar, Raaj Kumar, Amitabh

Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Feroz Khan, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Shatrughan Sinha, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Raaj Babbar, Manoj Bajpai, Pran, Amrish Puri, Prem Chopra, Danny, Amjad Khan, Mehmood, Shakti Kapoor, Govind Namdev, Mukesh Rishi, Asrani, Jagdeep, Navin Nischol, Jaya Prada, Madhuri Dixit, Dimple Kapadia, Madhavi, Anita Raj, Shabana Aazmi, Karishma Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Amrita Singh, Mamta Kulkarni, Raveena Tandon, Varsha Usgaonkar, Bindu, Aroona Irani, Salma Agha, Mandakini, Sonam, Tabu, Farah, Ayesha Jhulka, Amrita Arora, and many more artistes.
