This May Leeds Castle brings a whole host of events aimed at the whole family, from the return of Motors by the Moat to Grand Medieval Joust, to the creative delight that is the Chelsea Fringe Festival and the launch of a new attraction, Battle for the Skies, themed around the Battle of Britain.
Today our love of classic cars goes back to that bygone age of motoring for the privileged few as the evolution of engineering and design captures the imagination of generations old and new.
For car enthusiasts of all ages, Motors by the Moat on 6 and 7 May is a real treat. This year, as part of events to mark Leeds Castle’s role during the Second World War, there will be a collection of authentic vehicles and re-enactors in period costume to bring history back to life.
Make sure you visit the NAAFI van serving hot tea and 1940’s-style bread pudding among the many quaint food vans, including a double-decker ‘bar bus.’
Kent Life will be joining hundreds of vintage, high-performance, character and classic cars from around the world gathered on the lawns surrounding the castle, so while you’re there find out about our heritage as we celebrate the launch of the magazine in 1962 in true mods and rocker style!
