CRUSOE

Based on the famous novel by Daniel Defoe, this action-packed 12-part series follows Robinson Crusoe as he embarks on a high-seas adventure and gets shipwrecked on a remote tropical island for years. There, he meets Friday, who becomes his lone companion. Sam Neill and Sean Bean are among the cast, while Philip Winchester is Crusoe.

THE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS

Dougray Scott, Joely Richardson, and Eddie Izzard star in this two-part adaptation of the classic John Wyndham sci-fi novel. Most of the world’s population are struck blind by a solar storm, before millions of killer plants, known as Triffids, are released to roam Britain. Scott plays Triffid expert Bill Masen, who can still see and is determined to avert catastrophe.

FLOOD

This two-part disaster drama follows the devastating events when a storm surge overwhelms the Thames Barrier, sweeping through London and destroying the city. David Suchet plays Deputy Prime Minister Campbell, who’s in charge while the PM is away and orders a mass evacuation. The cast also includes Robert Carlyle, Sir Tom Courtenay, Jessalyn Gilsig, and Nigel Planer as the Met Office chief who fails to forecast the storm.
