Julia Stiles heads to the French riviera for a glossy new thriller.
The glitz and glamour of the French Riviera comes to Sky Atlantic this week in a lavish 10-part crime thriller that uncovers shady business deals, debauchery and death in the sunny playground of the rich and famous.
Created by Neil Jordan, with an A-list ensemble cast, Riviera follows art curator Georgina (Julia Stiles), who’s living the high life with her billionaire husband Constantine Clios (Anthony LaPaglia).
But when Georgina returns from an art auction in New York, she discovers that Constantine has been killed in a mysterious yacht explosion. Was it an accident or could it have been murder?
As the police dig into her late husband’s business affairs, Georgina begins to unravel his links to a dark underworld that lurks beneath the glossy façade of the Côte d’Azur. Did his secret life get him killed?
We spoke to Stiles to find out more…
How does Georgina fit into this glamorous world?
She doesn’t come from money, but she was working at an auction house when she met Constantine and became his private collector. They had an affair and then got married, and she now lives this incredible life in the South of France.
