American pop rockers Maroon 5 will become the first musical act to take to the stage at Dubai’s new Coca-Cola Arena this month, but what can fans expect from the American septet?
There’s little question that 2019 is proving to be quite the year for Maroon 5. Not only is it the 25th anniversary of the band’s formation – no, really – they also started the year with a best album nomination at America’s acclaimed Juno Awards, before being announced as the entertainment at arguably the biggest show in the US entertainment calendar, the Super Bowl. As if that wasn’t enough, this month, heartthrob frontman Adam Levine and his motley crew will take to the stage as the first musical act to headline Dubai’s newest multipurpose stadium, City Walk’s Coca-Cola Arena.
It’s all a far cry from their less than illustrious start, fresh out of high school, when a brief signing to Reprise Records under their original name of Kara’s Flowers saw their album, The Fourth World, die a death on the charts, losing them their contract.
