Mom’s a Trump cheerleader, Dad’s a Trump hater and daughter is fed up with both of them

Just imagine what family suppers must be like in their household. On one side of the table there’s Mom, a fervent Donald Trump supporter who’s been doing everything she can to make sure he gets another term in office.

On the other there’s Dad, who loathes the US president and is leading a campaign to stop him getting re-elected in November.

And in the middle there’s their teenage daughter, who sees both her parents as a constant source of embarrassment.

Welcome to the Conway household. It used to be mom Kellyanne who was the most well-known member of the family in her role as one of Trump’s senior advisers but not anymore – in just a few months her 15-year-old daughter, Claudia, has gained thousands of followers on social media where she’s been openly feuding with her parents.

Using the TikTok handle @datjerseygirl, the teen has expressed her dislike of Trump, disparaged her parents and begged US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who’s one of the president’s most outspoken critics, to adopt her. On another platform, in comments that must surely have had her mother cringing, Claudia responded directly to some of Trump’s tweets, referring to him as a “golfing idiot of a president” and telling him he’s racist.

But it’s her parents who’ve borne the brunt of her fury.

In a recent tweet she attacked her mom, claiming that Kellyanne’s job had ruined her life.

“Heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. Selfish. It’s all about money and fame.”
