SUMMER COOLERS

The 35th season of the Collection Premiere Moscow (CPM) event organised by Messe Düsseldorf Moscow OOO and by IGEDO Company, Germany from February 22 to 25 2021 was the first large-scale international event after last year. 350 companies represented 55 brands from 17 countries and 10,762 buyers attended the event. The collections for Fall/Winter 202122 had exhibitors from Italy, Germany, France, Russia and Turkey. One of the important sections was the CPM Body and Beach category, which unveiled the latest in sleep and swim wear collections that offered interactive presentations by various brands.

SWEET DREAMS

Never has sleepwear had so much importance on the fashion charts as it has had during the pandemic. A woman’s complete wardrobe now seems to revolve around what she will wear in her bedroom, while the rest of her high-end fashion designer wear languishes in the wardrobe. Designers too have realised this and put their creativity into top gear as their sleepwear collections have taken centre stage on the global ramps.

BRINGING COLOURS TO DREAMS

Colours play an important role for night wear too and the shade card moves rapidly through a line of rainbow hues. Soft steel grey gets a push up the popularity charts, while shades of brown hold their own with great pride. Pretty pastels are of course a must when it is the bedroom style quotients the buyers look at. So it is blush pink, pale blue and delicate lilac, that head the list along with the very popular white which has to be present, ivory, sultry black, feisty olive, eye-catching navy and pretty pink to complete the list.
