UPPING THE ANTE

DAY ONE

Spread across an area of 4,00,000 square feet, the Fair played host to products from Menswear, Womenswear, Kidswear and Fashion Accessories. Hall 1 showcased Menswear and Fashion Accessories while Hall 1A and 2 showcased Kidswear. Hall 3 was dedicated to Womenswear. Over 14,000 visitors flocked to the two-day event that showcased almost 700 Brands.

Having been successful at raising the bar at every Fair, the CMAI Fair Sub-Committee, once again, left no stone unturned in the planning and execution of the 70th NGF. The inauguration of the Fair was conducted in Hall 1.

Mr Manohar Chatlani, Chairman, Soch Apparels Pvt Ltd was the Chief Guest on Day One. Mr Prashant Shah, Member, CMAI, delivered the opening address, in which he invited Mr Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, to present Mr Chatlani with a Shawl. This was followed by Mr Jayesh Shah, Joint Secretary, CMAI, presenting a bouquet to Mr Chatlani. The Traditional lamp was lit by Mr Chatlani, Mr Rahul Mehta, Mr Rohit Munjal, Chairman, Fair Sub-Committee, and Mr Rajesh Masand, Vice President, CMAI.

The Members of CMAI and the Fair SubCommittee together accompanied Mr Chatlani to various stalls, surveying a myriad of Collections and interacting with various Exhibitors.

Speaking of the Fair Sub-Committee’s proficient planning, Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, said, “I think the Fair Sub-Committee has done a terrific job and I am satisfied that after all these years of Presidency, I have created a team that can look after the mega event efficiently. In fact, it is they who are responsible for having transformed the Fair into one of the best in India. Mr Mehta is hopeful of hosting more successful NGFs in the future. He hopes that the future continues to remain bright, “as long as we keep reinventing ourselves and not rest on our past laurels”.
