It’s sweltering in Mumbai, the kind of heat that melts the ice cubes in your caramel macchiato faster than you can say Kardashian. I am holed up in my room watching Netflix’s The Politician, drapes drawn against the remorseless sun, when suddenly: Ding! A text. 'Sara Ali Khan would like to be interviewed now’. Forget meeting at a coffee shop in Bandra; she’s on the phone in Sri Lanka (where she’s currently holidaying with her besties) waiting for me to connect. When we start speaking, I ask immediately: 'Why would you entertain a call while on vacation?’ “I am the most impulsive human there ever was. Whether it’s what I am going to do in the next 15 minutes after I hang up, or if it’s answering someone’s question while I am on the road. I have no idea what I am going to do next. I really am unpredictable and I have always been that way, which is why I love my job because it allows me to be spontaneous,” she says self-assuredly.
