It has become evident in the past few years that social media is a substantial part of our lives, creating an impact on society everyday.
Most of us access our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts on a daily basis. We scroll through these channels for news, entertainment, interaction and inspiration, influencing many of our daily decisions.
Many people and organisations have successfully used these platforms to gain publicity and grow their businesses quickly, proving that social media is one of the biggest and most powerful marketing tools today.
However, many of us are also still struggling with using social media effectively. We spend hours a day trying to expand our online profiles, editing and posting pictures. Yet, the numbers are not increasing.
This issue, we delve deeper into the matter and find out what the digital age is all about, and how we can efficaciously utilise social media to assist, grow and thrive in our businesses.

The growth in technology and societal behaviour are key factors that keep us glued to our devices. As technology advances, our reliance on it to get information on the go increases. Digital usage has successfully spread across age groups from infants to senior citizens; we have come to a new era where digital age is an integral part of society. However, I feel that both marketing techniques can continue to play complementary roles with each other depending on the outreach of audience. I believe that you cannot totally eliminate traditional media.

Summer Hair Care
Just as the sun damages your skin, it can damage your hair too. Saltwater and chlorine also take a toll on our tresses. A few weeks into summer, hair that was once shiny and easily managed looks and feels fried. Hair damage is most obvious when we see colourtreated hair becoming faded, bleached, and brassy. Even hair that isn't coloured will suffer from suninduced stress. Those UV rays dry out hair and rough up the normally smooth cuticle of the hair shaft.
Why Is Your Hair Dry?

The Singaporean Hair Dressing Industry
I’ve always liked to link the food and beverages industry to the hair industry as they both have very humble beginnings, both driven by passionate people and both employ people from all skill levels. However, the general population has a vastly different perception, with the main distinction that they eat 2-3 times a day while only visiting a salon once a month, or even once a year, they have very little interest in the hair industry.
