Bright, Win, Dew, Nani. You need to learn the monikers of these four young actors stat. The quartet took the Thai entertainment industry by storm with their leading roles in the TV series F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers. Aired between December 2021 and April 2022, the series is the latest small screen adaption of the Japanese manga, Hana Yori Dango, which revolves around a poor girl in a prestigious school for the rich elite who crosses paths with the F4, a group of four handsome and wealthy young men who rule the school.
Like its popular Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese and Chinese predecessors, the Thai version has resonated with audiences in Asia. It has also been a launchpad for the careers of its good-looking male cast, whose meteoric rise to fame has extended beyond Thailand's borders. Last October, they embarked on a nine-city Shooting Star Asia Tour, making a stop in Singapore in March to meet their fans here. BAZAAR Man caught up with Bright, Win, Dew and Nani for an exclusive interview with the stars who have captured millions of hearts all over Asia.
BRIGHT VACHIRAWIT CHIVAAREE
Accepting the lead role of Thyme, the leader of the privileged F4, was a no-brainer for Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree, 25. He says, The role of Thyme is so iconic. There are so many versions of him, and all of them are so good. I wanted to play him and make the role my own. The star-making role has been inhabited by Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan, South Korean actor Lee Min-ho and Japanese actor Jun Matsumoto, in the other incarnations of the hit show, and Bright's decision was right on the money.
