Model of the moment Lottie Moss opens up about fashion, feminism, and family
We meet our cover girl, Lottie Moss, at the legendary Hotel Danieli in Venice. She is there to attend the presentation of the Bulgari High Jewellery 2017 collection. Dressed simply in a white shirt and black trousers, she is oddly at home in what was formerly the Palazzo Dandolo. The 14 th -century building is defined by its lavish balconies and turrets that remind her of Harry Potter. Lottie is the quintessential English rose. Delicate. Quietly confident. Delightfully positive and genuinely happy, she knows what she likes and what she dislikes. She started working at 16, and made her catwalk debut at the Chanel pre-fall 2017 show. Now the face of Bulgari’s Spring 2017 accessories campaign, she has also supported their Save The Children initiative.
Excerpts from our chat with Lottie about fashion, feminism, and what success means to her:
“Modelling just came to me.”
I have always loved fashion. My mum had all the magazines and I used to flick through the style pages, then sneak into her wardrobe. She had some of my grandma’s furs, which were quite fun. Then my sister [Kate Moss] gave us quite a few things at Christmas and for birthdays. I remember when I got my first Chanel bag at 13 or 14—a mini one—and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life. I had it all over social media.
