As an interior designer, you have taken up some interesting projects.
Yes. We recently designed Chef Hemant Oberoi’s new restaurant in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. We had a few meeting with him and agreed on something formal, elegant yet modern. The inspiration came from food and the experience that Hemant wants to create for his guests. We have used veneers, wood and stones, and brightly coloured printed fabrics such as velvets. Since layout and lighting are two important things, we have used natural light for daytime and architectural lighting for evenings to create a soft glow, along with some dramatic chandeliers.
