Write your why

Next time you feel in control of your health, pull out your journal or a note-taking app and jot down how you feel, recommends licensed mental health provider and behavioural health coach Alexis Elliott. On days you struggle, look back at those notes to remember your end goal. Better yet, use them to create an affirmation or mantra – “I’m powerful” or “I’m confident” – and write it on your bathroom or entryway mirror with a whiteboard marker.
