EMS technology is revolutionising the health and fitness industry, but it’s not just fitness professionals who are leveraging its potential. Entrepreneurs like Veenash Parbhoo have also identified the inherent opportunities that exist in the EMS studio business model.
“The training methodology using the EMS technology in conjunction with our personal trainers produce great results, the studio doesn’t require a large space, sessions are affordable and the business model is not complicated at all.”
As an entrepreneur for over 16 years, predominantly as a franchisee in the food industry, Veenash was looking to apply his considerable experience in a new venture. “The aspiration has always been to create a concept which could ultimately be franchised and when I first experienced training using EMS technology, I knew that there could be an opportunity.”
Veenash first trialled EMS at a studio that belonged to his friend, Rahul Ranchod, who is now his business partner. “One session was all it took to convince me that this technology works, especially for someone like me who has a busy lifestyle and doesn’t have time to train every day.”
The partners first launched in the Bedford Wellness Centre over three years ago. “We used this venture as a testbed to refine our business model. With this experience, and after investigating other EMS franchise options, we decided to launch under our own ActivX brand.”
