After starring in movies like ‘I’,‘Singh Is Bliing’ and ‘Freaky Ali’, Brit beauty Amy Jackson has become one of Bollywood’s most desirable sweethearts in no time. But after doing some powerful stunts in the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Singh is Bliing’, she has also established herself as an action heroine.

Currently gearing up for massive action scenes in the Rajinikanth starrer ‘Robot 2.0’, the Brit beauty talks to us about her exciting journey from Britain to Bollywood, and reveals what keeps her looking so hot ‘n’ super toned all the time!

From winning the 2009 Miss Teen World title in UK to making it in South films in India and then Bollywood, how did your journey in films begin?

When I was 15, I did modelling in bits and pieces in between my studies. In 2009, I won the Miss Teen Great Britain title. When I was 16, I went to the US to participate in the Miss Teen World competition and won that too. My pictures went viral and Tamil director A L Vijay spotted me first in a newspaper. When I was approached by him with a film offer, I grabbed the opportunity. He launched me in the 2010 Tamil period drama ‘Madrasapattinam’.

How difficult it was for you to make the shift from UK to the South film industry in India?

I was just 15, studying English literature and language in school. But I adapted easily, in the sense, I was open to new things. This opportunity came knocking, and my parents supported my decision. I took a year out to do the film. I did it because it was challenging and different. I came to India and travelled a lot here.
