KING OF THE TOYS! Transport your kids back to prehistoric times and let their Jurassic-fuelled imaginations run wild!

Сreate a terrific toy for your littlies that will have them growling with delight. Raid the offcuts bin of your workshop to find all the timber you'll need. Then cut it into various shapes and, with holes drilled strategically through each piece, join them all together with lengths of cord. Let the roarsome fun begin!

EASY STEPS TO MAKE A DINOSAUR TOY

Gather your supplies

• 42 x 19 x 100mm Tasmanian oak

12 x 12 x 60mm Tasmanian oak

• 18 x 18 x 40mm Tasmanian oak

.65 x 19 x 80mm pine

• 18 x 18 x 30mm pine

•5mm starter cord

You'll also need

Combination square; pencil; fine-toothed handsaw; scrap timber for bench hook; drill; 5mm drill bit; clamps; sanding block; fine sandpaper; masking t

Here's how

STEP 1 Use a combination square to mark out shape of the Head, Body and Legs on timber blocks. Refer to the grid diagrams (above right) to get the measurements. Also measure and mark blocks for Tail pieces and Arms.

STEP 2 Use handsaw to cut pieces to size and shape. A DIY bench hook made out of scrap timber gives you something to push against and keep the pieces steady as you cut.
