Uplights are great for making a feature of a living wall. For similar try Lighting Styles
GREEN LIGHT
Draw the eye to a living feature wall with uplighting. 'The important thing is that the lights need to be far enough away from the wall in order to allow for plant growth,' says landscape architect John Davies. 'We chose a fitting that has an adjustable lens that can be placed further away and yet still light the wall effectively.'

1 STEPPING UP
Illuminating borders, paths and steps in your garden offers practical benefits as well as aesthetic ones, creating an ambient glow after dark. Steps can be illuminated from above, below or from the side. 'Lighting steps is mainly about making them safe for use after dark. Our aim is to make the lighting as even as possible without too much glare,' says Philip Milner, technical manager of Lighting For Gardens. 'For that reason we avoid putting lights in the step risers. Instead add lights into the walls; opt for a recessed designed for an uncluttered look.'

2 TAKE A SEAT
Arrange your lighting so that it focuses on the key living areas of your garden. Whether that's a pergola or a patio sitting area, illuminating these spaces will create a warm, welcoming spot for al fresco evenings. Consider up-down lighting, such as the Konstsmide Gela LED outdoor wall light, to create a layered effect that will unite both task and ambient light.
