As part of the recently-concluded Havana Biennial 2019 in Cuba, the artist created the large scale installation titled, Verso-Recto-Recto-Verso.
With her practice encompassing drawings, photography, sculptures and video, she engages across diverse materials inspired by conceptual underpinnings. Reena Saini Kallat is the unassuming activist who bravely takes on societal, political and cultural causes through her works of art that have been exhibited in India and globally.
The Mumbai based artist plays with dynamic forms to connect with strong subject lines. Known for throwing herself deep into research, Reena’s impressive art always has a strong story to tell. At the recently concluded Havana Biennial 2019 in Cuba, Reena internalised the theme “The Construction of the Possible” to come up with Verso-Recto-RectoVerso, a large scale installation.
