GIORGIO ARMANI IN THE MAKING OF HIS ARMANI/CASA’S EMPIRE
In the world of interior and furniture design, Giorgio Armani has certainly come a long way since his first creation, The Logo Lamp in 1982. Despite his early interest in architecture, furniture, and furnishings, and the fact that he designed and furnished his stores and homes, it was only 25 years after the establishment of Giorgio Armani spa with Sergio Galeotti in 1975 that he finally founded Armani/Casa. The brand not only provides interior design services, but also sells accessories, wallpaper, exclusive fabrics, and stylish pieces of furniture that are aesthetically simple, yet elegant. Armani/Casa is renowned for the clean lines of their simple designs: quiet, and classy, with a subtle hint of luxury.
In the present, Armani/Casa has reached yet another milestone. Its store moved from shopping haven and fashion district Via sant’andrea to the former de Padova furniture showroom which is located at Corso Venezia. Corso Venezia is heralded as one of Milan’s most beautiful streets, rich in design history, so the move is most certainly written in the stars.
