The home, owned by a married couple with a teenage daughter is located in a prestigious residential complex in Moscow. The apartment is located on the 12th floor of the building and it offers a fantastic view of the surroundings. “The owners wanted an interior in a modern and respectable style. Therefore I decided to create a monochrome colour palette, but then the owners requested me to add a little colour. That’s how the interior with a striking colour palette, stylish furniture and impressive contemporary artwork came to life,” says Oksana Salberg-Vachnadze, the designer.
The neoclassical style and the colour white served as the starting point of the interior. The white cornice mouldings create a beautiful contrast with colourful modern furniture and add a certain cultural context. Oksana adds, “The owners came up with many ideas themselves; they visited the iSaloni fair in Milan with me and chose furniture for the living room, the dining room, and the bedroom.” The apartment’s planning is simple and logical: it consists of three rooms with a big living room and a space that combines the kitchen with the dining room, and two bedrooms - master bedroom and the daughter’s bedroom. It also has two bathrooms, two dressing rooms, and a laundry room. Moreover, two loggias were added to the living space, next to the kitchen and the bedroom.
