What is it about floral art that drew you to it?
From early childhood I was connected to flowers. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my grandmother in a beautiful garden and arranging flowers. I have a Master Degree in Engineering, but after we moved to Canada in 2004, I switched my field completely to floral art. So I would say that connection to nature and the beauty of flowers from my childhood established me as a floral designer.
Briefly describe your art and designs.
Inspired by nature, my style is organic, informal and wildly romantic. I always try to arrange flowers with a single thought in mind that when people look at them, they are able to feel the flowers growing in my work by themselves, just like in a garden. The lines in flowers are not straight, but whimsical and almost dancing. They look at you, they speak to you and they want to tell you their stories...
Being a very intricate art form that requires great care, what is the biggest lesson that it has taught you?
