Catwalk stardom beckons for two Cheshire faces tipped for the top in 2018.
AS so often happens, doing a favour for someone else can have amazing consequences, as Taylor Shaughnessy discovered when she agreed to help a friend out on a photoshoot.
The 18-year-old was studying for A levels in biology, English literature, sociology and German at Lymm High School when she suddenly found herself plunged into the glamorous world of modelling after being talent scouted by the Manchester-based Nemesis model agency.
‘It’s quite a funny story,’ actually, says Taylor, who lives with dad Steven, mum Sam, and 13-year-old brother George in Lymm.
‘One of my best friends is close family friends with a couple of girls who design sportswear. They asked her if she knew someone who could help them out at a photoshoot so they could create a look book to take to schools to show off their PE wear.
‘The shoot was at Adidas head office in Stockport and one of the people there was a model booker, Rachael Peacock, who is herself a model. She asked if she could take some pictures of me to take back to the agency and I thought nothing of it but the following week I was asked to go in for a test shoot. I ended up getting a two year contract with Nemesis!
‘It is such a cute story! I just thought I’d help my friend out and then that happened. It was like fate.’
Since being discovered Taylor has been in a whirlwind of shoots and auditions, as well as coping with the stress of finishing her A levels.
