Entrepreneurs have to assume all the risks and rewards linked to their venture. Unlike an employee who has a guaranteed pay cheque at the end of the month these bravehearts fight against all odds to make their ventures a success. In this edition of Delhiites magazine we are proud to feature young millennial entrepreneurs who decided not to seek the comfort of their successful family businesses and struggled to build their own brands. We spoke to Chaitanya Mathur the cofounder of The Grub Fest and the founder of Bohca Bar and Restaurant; Minal Anand the founder of GuruQ; Tarini Manchanda the founder of The Initial Studio; Aashray Thatai the cofounder of PostFold and Sayam Chawla the founder of the clothing brand Sayam Chawla. Chaitanya MathurHas given Delhi its most well-known food festival The Grub Fest. An Economics graduate from Warwick University, he is a foodie and a cricket aficionado. Extremely entrepreneurial, his first venture was Bangin Beats a portal created with the mission to promote international and domestic EDM. Passionate about the hospitality industry he is the proud owner of Bohca Bar and Restaurant and has another restaurant in the pipe line.
How did you get the idea or concept for Bohca
I had been keen on getting into the hospitality industry for a very long time. I had taken a few steps in that direction by getting involved in a food festival The Grub Fest and starting my own music portal called Bangin Beats. Now I have my first place, Bohca. It’s an inspiration from a Spanish concept that I had seen in Barcelona. It was something that was very intriguing and I realized that Delhi needed a place that had a mix of food and music and a lot of good cocktails. Thus Bohca came about.
