Brow & Lash Treatments
Gergert Beauty Academy The team at Gergert Beauty Academy know everything about eyebrows and they’ll find your favourite treatment to brighten your appearance – Ola is very detailed and a perfectionist with both shape and colour!

The salon is now in a gorgeous loft near Clarke Quay with great views and amazing light. Ola suggested powdery brows for me; it’s a similar technique to microblading, but involving small dots rather than strokes, and it gives a more natural and softer look for fairer people. With a tracing pencil, a facial symmetry apparatus and steady hands, she drew an outline to confirm the shape with me. We discussed colour; I was keen to go darker, and we settled somewhere in between.

The entire process took 90 minutes, including getting a topical anaesthetic cream to relieve the pain. It does get a little sensitive after a while, but it’s never sore. Ola’s precision and handywork is amazing.

Afterwards, you can’t get the area wet or sweaty for a few days, and you mustn’t pick the little scabs that come up in the first week – even if they’re itchy! You’ll get a lovely browcare kit with wipes, honey healing ointment and brow brush.

I love my fuller, more defined brows. I definitely think good semi-permanent brows can make you look younger and more put-together. I’m not great at makeup, so this really helps on a daily basis!

When I went for my touch-up two months later, I met a British lady who’d had her brows, smoky eyeliner and lips done at Gergert. She looked amazing – very natural, but it still highlighted her features. She said waking up and not having to worry about the basics was life-changing – especially being a mother of four!
