Brothers On An Entrepreneurial Voyage

Business partners and brothers, Rohit Khandelwal and Rahul Khandelwal, are the visionaries behind Voyage Hospitality

Business partners are often thought to be brothers in arms. In the case of Rohit Khandelwal and Rahul Khandelwal, they’re also blood brothers. But when you relate them to the Dire Straits lines, “These mist covered mountains/ Are a home now for me…You did not desert me/ My brothers in arms,” the siblings embody every bit of the meaning in running their Gangtok-based hospitality brand, Voyage Hospitality.

When it all Began

Rahul, the older of the two, says, ‘The seeds of creating a global chain of hotels were sown a decade ago by (my father) Rakesh Khandelwal, Chairman of Voyage Hospitality.’ With experience of over a decade, the vision was further chiselled when older scion, Rahul completed his graduation in hotel management and then worked with multiple star hotels for over a period of 4 years with brands like Hyatt, Leela, Marriott. Rahul went on to pursue a master’s degree in marketing in Liverpool and worked a couple more years to gain expertise in the area. And then, Voyage Hospitality started with its first hotel in Sikkim.
